We are a community of people who want to see each other succeed.
Our team includes: designers, data scientists, software engineers, coaches, entrepreneurs, researchers, improv teachers, and more.
We bring a lot of different perspectives to the table at focused space, but one thing our team has in common: we are passionate about helping our members accomplish their goals, and find joy along the way.
As the CEO of a remote company (and a new mom!), Nodira knows all too well the challenges of WFH: balancing productivity with wellbeing, and creating momentum amidst chaos. Her personal experience — combined with her passion for helping people do their best work + live with intention — is what drives her to keep building this beautiful space for focus, excellence, and human connection.
Prior to focused space, Nodira co-founded machine learning startup Streamlit, and was the tech lead of the experimentation team at Twitter. She has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Washington, and a Bachelors from the University of Auckland.
Alexis is a product designer, strategist, and community builder who loves to create experiences that help people find joy, self-compassion, and connection with others.
Prior to co-founding focused space, Alexis spent a decade at MIT, where she received her PhD at the MIT Media Lab. As a designer, she has worked on projects across a variety of domains — creative learning software used by children around the world, cameras for deep-sea exploration, low-cost medical technology, and more.
Alexis is passionate about designing experiences that help people unlock their creativity and confidence.
Justin is a Software Engineer with a background in data science.
Prior to co-founding focused space, Justin brings two decades of experience as a software engineer, working at several small companies in Louisiana before joining Microsoft. He then joined Twitter for nearly 10 years, working on Trends, and as a tech lead for the Performance Tools team that he started.
Justin loves thinking holistically about product design and engineering, and deeply values team and relationship building.
