Intention + Kindess

Alex is grateful for the opportunity to create space for a balanced and healthy approach to productivity as a Community Session host. Currently based in Boulder, Colorado, Alex is a graduate student studying Clinical Counseling and Buddhist Psychology.

Prior to working with focused space, Alex worked as a yoga instructor in behavioral health, and spent about a million years in the food-service industry. In their free time, they love to practice yoga, read, and walk their six year-old hound mutt and best buddy, Maggie.

What’s your favorite part of being a focused space host?

I love the healthy balance of productivity and self-care, and getting to create a space that feels nourishing and empowering for the community.

What motivates you?

I'm motivated by an aspirational sense of balance. I'm always trying to strike equilibrium between exertion/relaxation, strength/softness, activity/rest, etc — it is a daily challenge!

What is your favorite pizza topping?

Roasted Vegetables and RANCH!

What is your favorite book or podcast?

I currently am enjoying the podcast "Being Well" — it's all about therapy!

Most impactful book: Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E Frankl.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love yoga and walking my hound-mutt dog, Maggie.

If you were a wildlife photographer, what creature would you focus on and why?

Hmmm. Maybe whales and other sea creatures.
